  • Very weird. Ours just threw out the same code after two years of absolutely no issues at all. It’s a bit strange that all these are happening in august

  • Agreed! And just happened in August. Odd coincidence??? Hmmmm! I will try the recommended “fixes” but not hopeful by what I am reading. Was a great printer up until this error!

  • I too just started having this issue yesterday. I’ve tried the troubleshooting suggestions above (expect #3 which I could not figure out) to no avail.
It does seem very odd that all of these comments are from this month – how odd is that!

I also purchased this printer as it was rated as a real workhorse, and I have had the sane issues as listed in other comments, lines through the print jobs and very poor color. Granted, this printer was not rated well for color, but I was not expecting lines through black and white print jobs.

  • Im having the same problem, following all steps, lines and error still present, my businesses depends on this printer, this began on August too, the lines and the error. WOW. So frustrated.

  • I too have just gotten the 0×97 message. I’m noticing the others that have complained all happened in August also. This seems kind of fishy to me. For the price I paid, I expected way more out of it. The color never really worked right. I get stripes out of it even after their suggestions for fixing and buying new ink cartridges for it. Very, very disappointed.
