  • My one year old printer says error 0×97. None of these suggestions work. What a huge disappointment. No more Epson printers for me. This is the 2nd one that has failed, so shame on me for buying it. If you’re researching printers, I hope this message finds you. RUN from this printer!

  • Happened to me with workforce 3640 back in august also. None of the fixes worked but after leaving it off over night started working again. Worked up until yesterday, Oct. 22, and then did the same thing. Again none of the recommended fixes worked but after leaving off over night it is working again. Any thoughts?

  • Just happened to our printer. We have been trying turning it off and on with some luck. Oddly it began doing this about the last week of August.

  • I experienced the dreaded 0×97 error last week on my (desperately needed) Epson WF-4630. I tried the Epson chat site this morning, they referred me via phone to service for that printer, and “Jay” from India is SENDING me a NEW and “better” printer (the WF-4630 is discontinued) in 2-5 business days, along with an extra set of printing inks because I mentioned I had just bought new ones and it was disappointing that they would go to waste, as I was told to “recycle the defective printer in a responsible way”. WOW. If this is true I’m impressed. My previous Epson printers have been okay, but never lasted as long as I expected them to (does anything???), but I liked the quality of the printout. If I get a new printer, I am a satisfied customer!
