  • I was reading Gary’s comments on March 3 and decided to try his suggestion. Everything else didn’t work.
I went through the cleaning procedure twice. And then I left it alone for a while. I went to watch a TV show, I came back and presto, my Epson Workforce 3640 is printing again. Give it a try, It worked for me too.

  • None of these functions helped to fix this error code on my Epson printer. However, I did get it fixed by going into the maintenance function and having the printer do a head cleaning and a text print. I tried this because obviously the printer wasn’t printing at all, so I wanted to at least try to force it to print this way to see if it would correct the hardware issue, and it did. Hopefully this will help someone else who is having the same issue

  • My Epson WF-3640 just gave me the OX97 error code. Tried all three fixes but still doesn’t work. This printer has been trouble from day one. Piece of junk, will never buy Epson again.

  • Microsoft support recommended contacting Epson directly as many other have and have received a replacement. So I called EPSON Tech Support and got a replacement for my WF-4630 coming under warranty. The one I have is no longer available but they said they will send one that uses the same kind of ink and is or equal or greater value. Date of purchase was Feb 2015 so I recommend that you call and find out. I called 1‑800‑463‑7766 Option 3.
